PostDoc - RISC-PQS : Side-Channel Attacks and Countermeasures on RISC-V for Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC)

We propose a postdoctoral position focused on the physical security of post-quantum cryptographic schemes implemented on RISC-V processors. As PQC standards are being deployed in embedded systems, their vulnerability to side-channel attacks (SCA) — including power analysis, electromagnetic analysis, and Screaming Channel attacks — raises critical security concerns that remain largely unaddressed in existing hardware accelerator designs. The postdoctoral researcher will investigate the susceptibility of state-of-the-art RISC-V PQC implementations, such as RISQ-V and HORCRUX, to these physical attacks, and will design and evaluate hardware and software countermeasures to strengthen their resilience, with particular attention to resource-constrained embedded environments.

Interested candidates are invited to apply before April 20th, 2026 by sending their application to mohamed.el-bouazzati@centralesupelec.fr with the subject line [PostDoc RISC-PQC] + Full Name, including a curriculum vitae, a cover letter, a list of publications, and the contact details of two referees.
